GM: In partnership with Lyft, will have a car out as early as the end of this year. Before these all electric cars come out onto the streets they will be let loose in the Lyft app, in unknown pilot cities. This car will be fully electric, which could make it a bit of a battery hog with all of this tech.
Google: Google's car has been driving around California for almost 2 years now. Some of the cars have even been pulled over by the police. Googles approximated time for the real release is 2017-2020. Tesla: Most of Tesla's cars today have some kind of self driving feature in them already. Their cars will be fully autonomous by 2018. The driver will not have to drive the car what so ever compared to todays cars that you still have to be some what alert.
I think that this is all happening way to quick, they are all racing to see who can get done first but they should slow down and try to make it better and safer and not so rushed. I believe that someone needs to take a stand in one of these companies of people might get hurt with these new vehicles. Some of the companies not listed are: Volkswagen, Nissan and Apple.
